Janet started her career as a management consultant in South Africa before moving to Europe to pursue law. After a successful ten-year stint at esteemed law firm Clifford Chance, Janet set up her own firm, Cognia Law – an independent international law company that delivers advisory, flexible resourcing, and managed services to law firms, banks, and corporates. In this wide-ranging interview, Janet tells us about the importance of her student days at the University of Cape Town, managing an international firm during a global pandemic, and looking after mental health in the workplace.
